What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, develop and manage the Group Financial Crime Due Diligence team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Own and continually enhance FCDD procedures, standards and quality assurance processes across Centrica.
- Provide oversight of third-party onboarding, reviews and monitoring activity, ensuring governance requirements are consistently met.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure service delivery expectations and SLAs are achieved.
- Produce and present management information, insights and risk updates to business leaders and governance committees.
- Support and deputise for the Head of Financial Crime when required.
- Collaborate on the design, implementation and ongoing development of the Group Financial Crime Framework.
- Provide expert guidance on financial crime risks, emerging regulations and due diligence best practice.
- Support governance, training and awareness initiatives across the business.
- Coach and develop Due Diligence Analysts through effective leadership, training and performance management.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Significant experience leading due diligence or financial crime teams within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of financial crime regulations and the application of effective due diligence frameworks and controls.
- Proven experience delivering business-wide compliance programmes and operating within a three lines of defence model.
- Ability to influence, challenge and engage senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to balance business objectives with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- ICA, ACAMS or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of the energy sector would be advantageous.
